Coordination and consultation center for career entry (KoBra)

The organization "Koordinierungs- und Beratungsstelle für den Berufseinstieg" (Coordination and consultation for career entry "KoBra", now Career Service), was established at the Ruhr-University Bochum to support graduates during their career entry. KoBra offers competent consultation for students of the Ruhr-University such as job application training, an overview of job exchanges or review of application documents.

The Fachhochschule (University of Applied Sciences) Bochum has established its own career portal where you can find job offers as well as news and an exchange for theses.

Academic team of the Agency for Employment

The academic team of the Agency for Employment supports students, graduates and dropouts during study and work orientation and with the introduction into professional life. The academic team offers individual consultation on the following topics:

• on questions about the job market
• on personal employment prospects
• on strategies for finding your first position after your degree
• on professional training
• on changing your course of studies
• on withdrawing from studies

Application training, workshops, lecture series, qualification for students, and tradeshows are also conducted by the academic team in cooperation with the Studienbüro, KoBra and others.
