Student culture clubs and residence bars

In some student residences in Bochum residence bars have been opened, partly due to the initiative of student culture clubs. These are open to all students and are of course a good starting point for newcomers to meet people.

Here you can find everything a student could wish for: a lot of good vibrations, nice people and all this alongside a chilled beer and fab music. So, get out of your room and into the fun!

• Hardys
  Hardys - Die Kneipe, Laerheidestraße 26, 44799 Bochum,  Open: Tue - Sun, 6 p.m. - 1 a.m.. What's special: Freshly refurbished and elegantly furnished the Hardy's Bar does not only impress with a huge selection of draught beers and snacks. The parties are a Must: Dance into May Day, Halloween or Start of Semester-Parties get the most established couch potato to join into the action.

  Querenburger Höhe 100, 44801 Bochum, run by SKoL e.V., Open: Mo-Fr 20-at least. 1 o'clock, closed Sat and Sun.
  What's special: Situated within the Uni-Center and therefore the student bar closest to university. Very useful for getting home, as the U35 line leaves almost right outside.

  What's special: Whoever is keen on endless table-football-games, has found the ideal place to be! The best of the best meet regularly in the Pape and kick like there's no tomorrow.

  What's special: The Sports bar among the residence bars! Regardless of whether it's the Soccer-EM or Superbowl, U 71 is open for almost all major events.
